We next checkpoint was a tour on the US Taylor FFG-58 on Mayport. The ship is being decommissioned as the frigate class is being replaced by the LCS, upgraded version of the frigate that has alot of operations automated requiring less personnel to operate it. Our frigates don't go to waste as they are purchased by other countries like Taiwan. Very cool surprise to our day. We stayed about an hour and headed to thd Oclub on base for a sponsored lunch with the porsche group.
